Singapore food in Seoul
Except for this one place called Yummy Kampong, located at the French Village, a distance walk away from Express Bus Terminal. If you are expecting a good review of Singapore food, THIS IS THE WRONG PLACE.
Here's why…
The prices are super marked up. For example, take this plate of Hokkien Prawn Mee. It costs 13,000krw (SGD$16). Definitely hotel price, but not that standard.

The taste is bad-to-average. This plate of Cereal Prawns, which turned out to be Cereal Shrimps, costed us 29,000krw (SGD$35). And there were only 8 pieces.
Which brings me to my next point, the price is disproportionate to the serving size.
The hot plate tofu was the best tasting dish, but still costing us 25,000krw (SGD$30). Ouch.
This Bak Choy deserves special mention for being the most expensive plate of vegetables I have eaten in my life. *Round of applause* 18,000krw (SGD$20)… I thought it was a joke when I saw this small serving being served!
'Can eat 4 plates of sambal kangkong at Chomp chomp'
Yupp, so although we had a taste of home food, we got ourselves a deep burn in our pockets. The total individual bill was $30. Feedbacked to the staff that in Singapore, we could get twice the amount for one quarter the price! And the main chef is Singaporean… must be earning loads here;/
Joked that we should ask our mums over to Korea to open a restaurant and beat him!
Hence, our quest to find good Singaporean food continues...
On a happy note, it was Jaslynn's American roommate, Becky's birthday! So we managed to surprise her even though this is officially the first time we've met!
Along the way, we explored one of the most fantastic looking Starbucks I have ever seen. I have always made it a point to check out Starbucks whenever I am overseas and this is by far the best!
Amazing layout and ambience!:)
