Orientation days/ Soft tofu stew/ Potato stew/ Jjimdak

Orientation in Korea University is two days (of boring talks and registration). Can you spot me in the photo? Met many many international students from all over the world, talked to people from Netherlands, Germany, UK, NYC, Hong Kong, China, and of course other Singaporeans!

The whole school is basically made up of castles like Hogwarts! Had a mini campus tour to introduce the different faculties. Can't wait for autumn to take nice pictures! This is my Korean Buddy, she majors in English Literature so was able to speak English! PHEW:)

Bonding session near school over patbingsu:)

Chi-mek dinner with the other Singaporeans. Feel so free to be speaking Singlish after attempting to speak in very proper English the whole day!

Main Entrance of Korea University looks so majestic! NUS doesn't even have a main gate SIGH.

Day two of orientation was just registration of student ID, which took super long for students who did not know Korean.

Instead of joining the international students for drinking, we decided to head to Artbox at Sinchon to buy some stationaries! This is so much bigger than the Hongdae's branch. Artbox over here sells everything from notebooks to pillows to pots and pans! Its like another Daiso:)

Then we went to this soft tofu soup place for cosy dinner in the thunderstorm. I really liked the free flow rice, seaweed and eggs!

Dinner in Korea is never done without supper! Went to the all famous Homilpat Patbingsu (shaved ice with red beans).

On the third day night of orientation day, we went to have Potato stew, which was really more of pork ribs stew. Seem very famous amongst locals. Located at the corner alley of Myeongdong.

Tried Jjimdak (steamed chicken) for the first time at Hongdae Bongchu Jjimdak, introduced by Yeesee, who is Jaslynn's friend that is really well-integrated in the Korean society! Its really spicy but I liked the braised chicken.
