Bukchon Hanok Village

Firstly, I am so grateful to have this bunch of mates that are willing to bring me around tourist spots of Korea despite being there before!

Yesterday, we went to Bukchon Hanok Village, which is home to the traditional houses dating back to the Joseon Dynasty. It is of walkable distance from Anguk Station, Exit 1.

Along the way we chanced upon a mural which I thought was really meaningful:)

Yeesee brought us to this famous Army Stew (부대찌개) restaurant called Eat Rest Money Out Toppokei (먹쉬돈나 떡볶이) along a small alley leading to the attraction. According to my friends, this store has a few branches across Seoul as well!

Must add cheese and ramen into this stew! Really delicious:)

Not forgetting ordering rice to finish off!

Shamelessly borrowed these farmers' hats from a store to take photos with! Looking like tourists 101

After a short climb, we reached the main photo taking spot! Being flooded by tour groups, could barely take a nice shot.. But it was worth the visit!

Real residents lived in these houses, so tourists were advised to keep as quiet as possible:)

Many attractions were in the vicinity, such as Seoul National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, National Folk Museum of Korea, Insadong, Gyeongbukgong, Cheongwada, Bugaksan etc.

The entire street is an interesting mix of both modern and traditional buildings and galleries! Shall visit the galleries again when I am free!:)

The whole Samcheong-dong (삼청동) district is also laced with fascinating themed cafes. This glass-ed  exterior of Kona Queens caught our eyes!  The interior was cosy and my Green Tea Latte was the best I've tried in Korea as yet:)
